An Experimental Study on the Influence of Testosterone upon Hyperlipidemia

Abstract
|
|
|
Seventy five healthy Sprague-Dawley male rats weighing around 150g were used- for the experiment and divided into 3 groups:
1) Control group
2) Cholesterol administered group
3) Cholesterol and testosterone administered group And serum cholesterol, triglyceride, and phospholipids in each rat were measured.
The result obtained from this experiment were as follows:
1) In the cholesterol and testosterone administered group serum triglyceride was a little more enhanced than that increased in the cholesterol administered group.
2) In both cholesterol administered group and cholesterol plus testosterone administered group serum cholesterol and phospholipid were slightly, increased but not quantitatively significant.
